Dot Love

There's a little map on the right side of my blog that tracks how many people look at this page and where they are. I'm pretty sure that about 80% of the visits counted on this site are just me being overly-involved with my own blog and checking it when I should be doing more sensible things like sleeping, doing homework, or attending to my personal hygiene.

What I really love about this map are the dots in different parts of the world. For example, today there was a new and exciting Mongolian dot. A Johnny and Marina dot? I hope so! And then there are dots that confuse me. Like two of the China dots and the Northern Manitoba dot. I look affectionately at these dots and wonder: Were you here on purpose? Do we know each other? Not that it really matters. I love all my dots the same... Except for the Calgary one because it's the biggest.

James,
I think I can solve one of your China dot questions. Due to the security of the country in which I live (China), all the internet traffic has to go through Beijing for a scan. So every time I look at your blog, Beijing picks up on it, and therefore your page is being looked at in Beijing as well! Now, of cause I could be wrong, and someone in Beijing could be looking at your blog, since it is a fun and interesting one! Your map does look cool with all the dots all over the world.

I love my dot map too. I even have one in colombia. I was wondering about who all of my dots were too but finally decided that they were robyn roste's friends since she knows a million poeple all over the world and since her blog has a link to mine.
And Jamie Primeau, just click on the dot map and it will give you all of the directions you need to get one.

Thanks for the info Bettina. Kyle and I were joking today about how I need to work harder to build up my Chinese fan base. But now I know it's just my Danish fanbase. Maybe I should write more about open-faced sandwhiches or Michael Learns to Rock.

And Jamie, I hope you enjoy your map. It's so exciting!

EXCUSE ME! I don't think its fair you love your Calgary dot the most. Sure Calgary is a beautiful city full of great shopping, warm weather, and people who know how to plow the roads but is this really any reason to play favorites? Saskatoon has a dot too you know and it is just as important than the Calgary dot!

Heather, you've given me a lot to think about. Maybe I was wrong in saying Calgary was my favourite. Now I suppose that my love for my dots is more like a mother's love for her children. And maybe I love Saskatoon the most because it needs my love the most. Kind of like the kid who has acne, wears headgear, and gets beat up at school a lot.

She loves the calgary dot the most because it's the biggest. Maybe if you checked her blog a little more, saskatoon's dot would get a little bigger, and then jamie would love it a little more.
